Our Staff
The Hernia Institute of Florida was founded 20 years ago by Dr. Gilbert. It is one of the few surgical centers that specialize solely in hernia repair. More than 35,000 hernias have been repaired here since 1986, more than half of which come from outside Miami-Dade County and many from outside Florida. Several companies send employees from all over the country to the Institute for hernia repair. The Hernia Institute is dedicated to the study and advancement of hernia surgery. Over the years it has improved the surgery for hernia repair.
